Privacy Policy

How we handle your information under the Privacy Act 1988.

Sunnn Pty Ltd (“Sunnn”, “we”, “us”) is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and how to contact us about it.

What we collect

We collect: your name, contact details (email, phone), the address of the property you’re considering for solar/battery, and basic usage information about your electricity consumption. If you apply for finance through our partners, the lender will collect additional information directly from you.

Why we collect it

We use your information to design and quote your system, to apply for STC and rebate entitlements on your behalf, to coordinate the DNSP application, the meter changeover and the install, and to keep you up to date on your project. With your consent we may also send you product updates relevant to your system.

STC assignment

When you proceed with a Sunnn install, you assign your Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) to Sunnn at the point of sale. The STC discount is shown as a separate line on your written quote. Federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program rebates are administered by the Clean Energy Regulator and applied through the same mechanism.

Who we share with

We share your information only with: the Clean Energy Regulator (for STC and CHBP claims), your distributor (DNSP) and electricity retailer (for connection and meter changes), your finance provider if you opt for finance, and our installation partners. We do not sell or disclose your information for marketing by third parties.

How to access, correct or complain

You can request access to, or correction of, your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@sunnn.co. If you have a complaint, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
