Sunnn

Disclosures

The fine print, in plain language.

Install rebates, modelled wholesale arbitrage, and where Sunnn ends and your retailer begins.

What Sunnn does (and what we don’t)

Sunnn is an Australian solar & battery installer. We design, quote and install solar PV and battery systems, claim STCs and the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program rebate at sale, and configure your system so it’s ready to be dispatched on the wholesale market by an authorised electricity retailer. Sunnn is not an authorised electricity retailer. Your retail relationship is directly with the retailer of your choice.

Modelled savings & arbitrage

Bill saving and arbitrage figures shown on this site are modelled estimates for a typical Australian household. Self-use savings depend on usage shape and your retail tariff. Arbitrage figures assume a wholesale-passthrough retail plan dispatching a battery against the AEMO 5-minute spot price; actual outcomes vary with usage shape and spot volatility. Modelled figures are not a guarantee.

Wholesale price exposure

On a wholesale-passthrough retail plan, your import and export prices are pegged to the AEMO 5-minute NEM dispatch price for your region. Prices are capped at the regulator-set Market Price Cap, currently $20.30/kWh (raised from $17.50/kWh on 1 July 2025). During cumulative price threshold events the AER imposes an administered cap of $0.60/kWh. Wholesale-passthrough retailers apply the same caps to your import price.

Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs)

When you install an eligible solar PV system in Australia through an accredited installer, the system is eligible to create STCs under the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000. To make the install affordable upfront, you assign these STCs to Sunnn at the point of sale, and we apply the STC value as a discount on your invoice. The exact STC discount on your job is shown as a separate line on your written quote.

Federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program (CHBP)

From 1 July 2025 the Australian Government provides a discount of approximately 30% on the installed cost of an eligible home battery, applied through the existing STC mechanism by the Clean Energy Regulator. Eligibility, capacity caps and per-kWh discount rates are set by the program. Refer to cleanenergyregulator.gov.au for current rules.

State rebates

References to NSW PDRS, Victoria Solar Homes, ACT Sustainable Household Scheme, and other state programs are summaries only. Eligibility criteria, available funding, and program rules are set by the relevant state authority and may change without notice. We confirm your eligibility before claiming any state rebate on your behalf.
